Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of ibbusinessmastery.com, operated by IB Business Mastery ("we"). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
IB Business Mastery is an independent third-party educational resource for IB Business Management at Standard and Higher Level. We provide notes, quizzes, downloadable resources, an Internal Assessment toolkit and a business simulator.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). "IB®" and "International Baccalaureate®" are registered trademarks of the IBO.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to register. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
One account per person. Sharing accounts is prohibited and may result in suspension without refund.
4. Subscriptions and payments
- Premium is a recurring subscription, billed monthly ($14 USD) or annually ($99 USD), through Stripe. A Classroom licence ($249 USD a year) covers one teacher and up to 30 students; extra seats are $8 USD per student per year. School licences are quoted and invoiced separately.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from your dashboard; nothing further is charged and access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
- Referral credit: when a person you referred completes a first payment, a credit is added to your Stripe customer balance and applied to your next invoice. Credit has no cash value and expires with the account.
- Demo and complimentary access granted by us ends automatically on the stated date.
- Prices are in USD and exclude taxes; applicable taxes (VAT/IVA) are added at checkout.
- We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice for renewals.
5. Refund policy
14-day money-back guarantee on the first Premium subscription. Email hello@ibbusinessmastery.com within 14 days of your first charge for a full refund.
Refunds are not given for: subscription renewals after 14 days, downloaded resources, or accounts terminated for breach of these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, share or republish our content without written permission.
- Use the Service to cheat or commit academic dishonesty: in particular, do not submit our materials as your own work in IB assessments.
- Scrape, crawl or extract content via automated means.
- Attempt to access another user's account or breach our security.
- Reverse-engineer the Service.
Violations may result in immediate suspension and termination, without refund.
7. Intellectual property
All content (notes, quizzes, blog posts, simulator, design, code) is owned by IB Business Mastery or licensed to us. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal study only.
Real-world case examples (Patagonia, Tesla, Apple, etc.) are referenced under fair-dealing principles for educational purposes.
8. User-generated content
If you submit content (comments, IA drafts, contact form messages), you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and process that content to provide the Service. You retain ownership.
9. Certificates
Our "Certificate of Completion" is issued by IB Business Mastery for finishing our course content with the required scores. It is not an official IB qualification, has no academic credit value and is not endorsed by the IBO.
10. Service availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance and will give reasonable notice where possible.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IB Business Mastery will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or grades. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for: death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify IB Business Mastery against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
13. Termination
You may delete your account from your dashboard at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms. Sections 7, 11, 12 and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ciudad de México, México, Mexico. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ciudad de México, México.
For consumers in the EU/UK, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email and an in-site banner at least 30 days before they take effect.
