Log out and back in; the plan updates within a minute of the payment. If it still says Free after ten minutes, send us the email you paid with and we will fix it the same day.

Dashboard, "Manage subscription", then "Cancel plan". Nothing else is charged and you keep Premium until the end of the month or year you paid for.

Credit is added when your friend's first payment goes through and appears on your next invoice, not as a separate refund. Your dashboard shows the running total.
